Lana was a former military nurse who survived the Sun Flares and was one of the protagonists of the The Kill Order. She was close friends of Alec.

Biography[]

The Kill Order[]

Lana had worked with Alec for the Defense Department, and they had a close bond. When the Sun Flares hit, she and Alec save a group of teenagers down in the New York Subtrans tunnels: Misty, Toad, Darnell, Baxter, Mark, and Trina. However, Baxter was killed during an encounter with a man and his wife. The group soon made it into the settlements out in the country near Asheville, where they feel safe.

A year later, the Flare was unleashed and while Alec and Mark managed to get themselves into the assaulting berg, Lana takes care of the settlement. Figuring that the death-bringing darts must have transported a disease, she makes them all wear protection while dealing with the infected.

After Mark's and Alec's return and Darnell's death, they set out to find the bunker the berg had come from. They had to leave the infected Misty behind, likewise Toad who is not willing to abandon his friend. Lana was quite strict on everyone keeping a safe distance between each other. But after they found and took in little Deedee, she no longer insists. Alec and Mark briefly leave the girls to investigate a group of infected people from Deedee's village. Before the men returned, Lana and Trina decided to go to the bunker with Deedee to meet them there. But they were caught and given to the Cranks from Deedee's village. While imprisoned, Lana was brutally attacked by some Cranks.

When Alec and Mark finally find her, Lana was heavily bruised, bloody, and missing half her hair. As several Cranks attacked and stabbed her, the men fought the attackers off and killed them all with their Transvice. But it is too late for Lana, and Alec chose to kill her by vaporizing her with his Transvice to end her pain, causing Alec plenty of pain.

Physical Appearance & Personality[]
