The Maze Runner Series is a young-adult dystopian science-fiction series written by American author James Dashner. The series consists of 7 books: The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure, The Kill Order, The Fever Code, The Maze Cutter and The Godhead Complex.

The Kill Order and The Fever Code are the two prequels to The Maze Runner Original Series. The Kill Order, being the first prequel, tells the events before The Maze Runner and reveals how the spread of the Flare started and the events of the Sun Flares, while The Fever Code tells the events after The Kill Order and before The Maze Runner, telling the events of Thomas building the Glade while working with WICKED. The Maze Cutter, the first book in an upcoming new series, is a story that shows the Gladers descendants and their journey, while The Godhead Complex, tells the story of Isaac and Sadina as they split up to go on their own missions and journeys.

A side novel, The Maze Runner Files, which contains information regarding the Flare, WICKED, the Gladers, Thomas and Teresa's first conversation, Minho's Phase Three Trial, Frypan's past, e-mails between WICKED correspondents, and more. Crank Palace, a Novella, tells Newts time at the Crank Palace. 2 official Graphic Novels canon to the movie-universe, tell separate stories that take place over the events of the original trilogy. Inside the Maze Runner: The Guide to the Glade is a film-companion novel containing many pictures from the The Maze Runner and information regarding the Gladers and the films cast.

The Maze Runner[]

The Maze Runner is the first book in The Maze Runner Series written by James Dashner. It preceded the The Scorch Trials and told the events after The Fever Code. It was published on 6th October, 2009, and received critical acclaim.

Synopsis[]

Synopsis[]

Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end.

Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn't done yet. Phase Two has just begun.

There are no rules. There is no help. You either make it or you die.

The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch – the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.

Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.

The Death Cure[]

The Maze Cutter[]

The Maze Cutter is the seventh book in The Maze Runner series, and the first sequel in the new upcoming sequel series. It is a sequel to The Death Cure and the first book in an upcoming series, soon to be followed by The Godhead Complex. It was published on 1st November, 2022, to mostly positive reviews.

Synopsis[]

73 years after the events of The Death Cure, when Thomas and other Immunes were sent to an island to survive the Flare-Triggered apocalypse, their descendants have thrived. Sadina, Isaac, and Jackie all learned about the unkind history of the Gladers from The Book of Newt and tall tales from Old Man Frypan, but when a rusty old boat shows up one day with a woman bearing dark news of the mainland--everything changes. The group and their islander friends are forced to embark back to civilization where they find Cranks have evolved into a more violent, intelligent version of themselves. The islanders are hunted by the Godhead, the Remnant Nation, and scientists with secret agendas. When they cross paths with an orphan named Minho from the Remnant Nation, the dangers become real and they don't know who they can trust. The islanders will have to survive long enough to figure out why they are being targeted, who is friend or foe, and what the Godhead has planned for the future of humanity.

The Godhead Complex[]

The Godhead Complex (also called The God Complex) is the eight book in The Maze Runner Series, and the second book in the upcoming sequel series. It is the sequel to The Maze Cutter. It was published on 14th November, 2023, to generally positive reviews.

Synopsis[]
