Do you hear that sound, Gladers? No need to fear; it's just the first strains of the official music from The Maze Runner (below)!
The music comes from Page to Premiere's recent interview with author James Dashner, director Wes Ball, plus actors Dylan O’Brien (Thomas) and Will Poulter (Gally). According to Hypable, the song comes from the trailer and is scored by John Paesano.
Fans also got a taste of the banishment scene in The Maze Runner when Ben is sent away with the picture below.
This scene is important in the book, but also in real life! Director Wes Ball has said before that Ben’s banishment was actually one of the moments in the book that made him want to take on the adaptation, but, funnily enough, the moment wasn’t even part of the original story: Dashner mentions to Page to Premiere, “That was actually a scene that wasn’t in the first few drafts. I felt like I needed something that brought a lot more to the story, and I added that scene.”
